Brewing Beer
Well school ended and as some of you know I have left oregon, only to come back for about 3 days over labor day weekend, for about a month. It has been so nice to be out of the area and just relaxing for the last couple days. Currently my friend Brian and I are brewing beer, which is to be labeled bird seed ale. While this is very relaxing and I am looking forward to school started. I kind of feel like my life has shifted up to Corvallis more so than it was last year and I am excited to see what that shift brings. |

So if I don't post than people are going to make me post? I see how it is. Top Ten Stress relievers: I can not actually put these in order since they all relieve stress in different ways. 1. Martial Arts 2. Tricking; either kind really ;) 3. Your Mom 4. Drumming 5. Massages of any type 6. Cuddling with a nice warm girl 7. Hanging out with people that I care about 8. Vegging out on any kind of moving image 9. Reading a good book 10. Cooking and eating really good food School is almost over and I am so excited. I have one last class this afternoon and then all I have to look forward to is finals. I finally have a teacher that actually understands what a test is sopposed to be like. She said that finals should be take homes where you explore the basic concepts that you have learned over the term. I am so happy that there is a teacher out there that understands that. On a kind of strange note for me I went to OSU yesterday and talked to my engineering advisor and then registered for classes. It is weird for me to be leaving Eugene. Inspite of it only being fifty minutes from here I still feel strange leaving a place that I have spent so much of my life. Well it is for a good cause and I will definitely be coming back on a weekly basis. :) P.S. I tag anyone on my list who is not al ready tagged (That should not be more than five people) |

Well seeing as it has been over two months since I feel kind of obligated too. My hip is almost better after my horrible injury that lasted about 6 weeks. I through a 540 triple kick yesterday at the dojo and I was surprised at how easily it came off. It was a little bit rusty but overall it worked wonderfully. I think the demo will be fun this year in spite of all the missing people. It will have the same energy but it will be different energy then the last two years. I just wish I would of has some time in order to get some new tricks for this year. "mid"terms are now over for a couple of weeks and I feel pretty good about them; except for the electrical fundamentals test this mourning, it sucked. It would be nice if teachers would look at what they have assigned as homework and then write a test that actually covers the things that we have done. Well that's it for today. I hope everyone is doing well. |

School is a game
Something that has been on my mind lately is the way that I think about school. I have noticed so many people that freak out about school and what is currently happening in it. I have never had this happen, granted I have had issues with it starting to overwhelm me but I have never freaked out over a class, I was wondering what I did differently that made it easy for me to float through school. I have come to the conclusion that the reason for this is that I think of school, and even more so math and physics classes, more as a game to be played. Exams, quizzes, and homework are all just puzzles that you have to put together. Who at somepoint has not been putting a puzzle together and then at somepoint you put a piece in and the rest of the pizzle comes together easily. I feel that school is like this in a very big way. you come to class, you get information, then you have to apply that information to a puzzle. Does anyone else feel like this ever? Cool point of today: I have a MySpace account, if you do not have one then you should get one, and a band that I think is really cool asked me to be their friend on MySpace which kicks lots-o-ass HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!! THANK GOD IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!!! Current Mood: contemplative |

Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays ever. I really can not stress this enough. Not only do you get time off from school, although it is kind of late in the term, but there is tons of really good food that is produced on this, the mother of all glutton fests. It is strange though how this holiday has changed since I was little. Everything and everyone is different now then it was when I was little. The people that we have over, my dad not being here. It is just really strange. I have much to be thankful for this year. More so than I could go into right now but most of all I am thankful for all of my friends that are in my life right. I hope everyone has a good holiday. Current Mood: thoughtful |

I got my ticket for England!!!!!!!!!!!! I get to spend about two weeks over there doing "stuff" over spring break and I am so excited. In other news I am happy that this term is almost over and I get to move on to new classes. I have been so busy but it looks like I have a couple days to get caught up in Statics (I am way behind on the homework). I hope everyone has a good day. Current Mood: happy |

I am such a percussion nerd
SO, I was sitting in Diff. Eq. today (btw this post will only mean anything to you if you know about poly-rhythms [that is a weird word]) (oh Mikey, notice the proper math syntax) and I started to not pay attention and think about poly-rhythms. I was working on a 4 against 3 and then I started playing that between my right hand and right foot. With out even thinking about it I started playing a 3 against 2 with my hands so I was playing a 4 against 3 against 2 with three different limbs. This makes me really happy. Maybe I can sneak a 5 in there some how. to get me fourth limb going. Oh and thank god it is the weekend. |

Warg!!!
Well this week is going to suck(sing that it operatic style). I forgot to pick up the homework to grade on Friday so I was unable to pick that up until today which puts about an extra 8 hours of work for me on Monday and Tuesday, plus my home work for Linear Algebra and Diff Eq are Due on Wednesday (I got most of Diff Eq done over the weekend)But I am behind on my statics homework and I have my first paper for Writing due on friday. And to top it all off my knee is not getting any better so I might have to stop bouncing at trampoline. Then all I would be able to do is sit around and spot. Oh happy days are here again. This looks like it is going to be the end of my tramp days since I will not jepeordize martial arts for it. I think I should be able to keep tumbling though. (the funny thing is that it is higher impact but hurts my knee much less)I hope everyone is going to have a better week then I am. On a better note the Dillinger Escape Plan show in Portland last night kicked ass. Did I mention I got home at 3:00 and got up at 8:30? Current Mood: annoyed |

Unpacking
Well I moved into the apartment and overall it is pretty sweet. It is so weird to go back and not have anyone around. It is nice but at the same time just not as much fun. Anyways, I still have to unpack most of my stuff but I got my computer and stereo up so that I can listen to music and watch movies (in 5.1 surround sound no less!!!!) I don't have internet access yet so if you email me don't expect a response back until the next day probably. I had to leave my drums at my mom's house but we are still going to get to have band practice there and we don't have to pack everything up when we are done playing. (yes I know Nick we are packing things after playing with each other) Hopefully we will actually start working with lyrics on wednesday. Later Current Mood: blah |

Almost the weekend
Well I have almost finished the first week of school. I have to say that I am excited about pretty much all of my classes. Linear Algebra, Intro to Differential Equations, and Statics are all really cool. I am really happy that I am finally doing things that I really care about in school. Writing is going to be more amusing then my last writing class but overall just not my cup of tea. I went back to Judo today for the first time in about 18 months and now I am hurting. I am really tired but I feel good because my knees are doing alright with it. I am pretty sure though that trampoline is what was making my knee hurt last year. I just hope this does not mean I am going to have to stop bouncing. Peace out and all that good stuff Current Mood: tired |
